Walking Log ... Walks including "High Raise (High Street)"

High Raise (High Street)
High Raise is situated on the northern ridge running from Rampsgill Head which carries the ancient High Street Roman road. It is the last fell on this ridge that has a pronounced summit - from here, all the fells running along the ridge become wide rolling grassy plateaus. The top is rock littered, the last any walkers will see who travel north from here.

High Raise is 2nd highest Wainwright in the Far Eastern Fells topped only by High Street, and 31st highest overall.
