Place Fell
Place Fell is a huge mountain, in bulk if not height, dominating the Patterdale valley and the southern end of Ullswater. It is the terminating fell of a long ridge curving northwest from High Street.

The western and eastern faces of Place Fell are steep and lined with crags and scree, the northern flank descends rather more gently towards Sandwick and Ullswater. To the south Boredale Hause is a meeting of many paths.

In Wainwright rankings, Place Fell is the 20th highest of the Far Eastern Fells and 109th highest overall.
