Walking Log ... Walks including "Little Fell"

Little Fell
Little Fell is a mountain in the Mallerstang valley. It is the southern continuation of the Mallerstang Edge ridge past the end of the limestone escarpments. Unlike the other fells along the ridge, Little Fell stands entirely within the Yorkshire Dales. The summit is marked by a small pile of stones.

In common with the other mountains along the ridge, the summit is broad and flat with a classic moorland covering of long tussocky grass, heather and peat bogs. The River Ure originates from this fell.
