This is a mountain in the Southern Uplands. Part of the Galloway Hills, it is located in the Galloway Forest Park.

Benyellary is one of five mountains that make up the Range of the Awful Hand. In order, thumb first, they are Benyellary (719m), Merrick (843m), Kirriereoch (786m), Tarfessock (697m), Shalloch on Minnoch (768m).
