Combe Head
Subsiduary top of Glaramara, and one of many summits along the ridge running north from Esk Hause to Stonethwaite. When approached from Glaramara, the ground falls away suddenly and quite unexpectedly from the summit, which no doubt adds to the splendour of the view down The Combe towards Borrowdale.

Not deemed worthy of inclusion as a fell in its own right by Wainwright, this is still quite rightly included in Bill Birkett's list of fell tops and is also classed as a Nuttall. The views northwards, possibly the finest of this whole ridge, make a visit to this top highly recommended for anyone travelling this way, regardless of any 'bagging list' they are working on.
