Allen Crags
Allen Crags is the most southerly summit on the four mile long ridge running from Stonethwaite in the north to Esk Hause in the south, and hence to the foot of the Scafell range. It is well placed to offer superb views.

Despite the southern aspect being effectively blocked, albeit in a spectacular way, by the awesome crags of Great End and Bowfell, the views elsewhere are extensive. Particular delights are Great Gable to the west and the wealth of fells in sight to the east.

In Wainwright terms, Allen Crags is ranked 43rd highest overall, and is 12th highest in the range of Southern Fells.
