Walking Log ... Walks including "Hartsop Dodd"

Hartsop Dodd
A steep sided fell with a rounded top, found flanking the Kirkstone Pass, and is named after the small hamlet it rises from. It is the northern spur of Caudale moor. Although several hundred feet higher than it's close neighbour High Hartsop Dodd, it was originally known as Low Hartsop, although these descriptions relate to the position in the valley rather than stature.
