Walking Log ... Walks including "Rydal Water"

Rydal Water
One of the smallest lakes in the Lake District, located adjascent to Rydal village in the heart of the Lakes, and between Grasmere and Ambleside. Although small, it is still beautiful and provides fantastic scenery - the lake itself has a couple of small wooded islands, and sits directly in the dip between Loughrigg Fell and Nab Scar.

Rydal Water is fed mainly by the River Rothay, which comes in from Grasmere and into the western side, and flows out of the eastern side and then on down towards Windermere.
