Walking Log ... Walks including "Carl Side Tarn"

Carl Side Tarn
Tiny puddle located just past the end of Longside Edge, and lying in the col between Carl Side and Skiddaw. Due to its lack of volume, it often dries up completely during the summer months.

Although small, it does have a couple of distinctions to boast about - at over 700m, it is one of the highest tarns in the Lake District, and it is also the only body of standing water anywhere on the Skiddaw massif.
