Walking Log ... Walks including "Styhead Tarn"

Styhead Tarn
Medium sized, attractive tarn, made more so by its location high up in the dip between Great Gable, Seathwaite Fell and Great End. It is near the junction of several popular Lake District walking routes, being accessible from Seathwaite, Wasdale and Langdale, and is also close to the corridor route heading up to Scafell Pike.

Its main outflow, Styhead Gill heads northeast towards its meeting with Grains Gill to create the River Derwent. On its way it forms the impressive waterfall, Taylorgill Force.
