Mick's Walk Summary/Comments:
Decided to take a day off work for a work in the Lakes. This particular horseshoe is one that I've never undertaken, so it made an ideal choice.

The weather started off well. The summits all looked clear so I was quite hopeful of cracking views. In true Lakeland fashion this can all change within the space of minutes, and about 100ft from the summit of Grisedale Pike I saw the cloud roll in! The wind also picked up (I would estimate at about 40 - 50 mph) At times it was hard to stay on the path, but this just made it all the more fun.

After I got round the Coledale Hause the rain started. Given the wind speed this rain became a real nuisance! I eventually got some patchy views as I descended from Scar crags. I think that this is one of those walks that I need to do again because I would imagine that the ridge walk from Crag Hill to Causey is amazing in good weather.

All in all, another very enjoyable afternoon. It also provoked a lot of memories of happy days when viewing neighbouring summits that me and Ali had walked just a year or so ago!
