Mick's Walk Summary/Comments:
My brother in law, Nick, had decided to spend a few days wandering round the fells, so I decided to join him on his first day. His first stop over was at Black Sail Pass YH, so it seemed an ideal opportunity to re-acquaint myself with Great Gable.

We left the Honister Pass car park and were literally straight into the climb. In fairness it's a fairly easy ascent, although it's sometimes nice to walk your legs in a little before climbing. Unfortunately for us the clag was at a low level, so the first four summits had no views whatsoever. I thought the same was happening on Great Gable, however the clag did start to clear and we had cracking views down Wasdale. After a little confusion regarding the path, we descended to Beck Head and then dropped down to the head of Ennerdale. At this point me and Nick went our separate ways.

All in all a cracking day out on the fells
